Growing up in rural North Carolina, I developed a passion for drawing and making things. When I went off to college, I fell in love with ceramics, and developed a fascination for glass also.

 

After getting my BFA in sculpture, I enjoyed many successful years in graphic design as a creative director. I worked with major corporate brands including Star Wars, the NFL, NASCAR, Miller, Coors, Budweiser, and others. When I retired, I was able to devote my time to sculpting, glasswork, and making things again.

 

My work involves various forms of celebration—whimsical characters like a dog and cat in a boat, remembrances of beloved pets through realistic urns, as well as sculpted heroes, such as Ghandi and powerful women. I also produce functional pieces and enjoy making people happy with exclusive commissions.
