jana cruse
Jana Cruse worked as a registered nurse for 33 years before retiring and relocating to Bald Head Island (BHI) in 2006. From a young age, she has had a passion for creating art, including knitting, crocheting, and sewing, making everything from clothing for her children and grandchildren to intricate pieces such as her daughter’s wedding veil. From 2018 until October 2024, Jana owned and operated All About Art gallery on the island. During her time there, she was also an active member of the BHI Artisans, where she crafted braided rugs, handmade bags, quilts, and jewelry. Additionally, she contributed to the Old Baldy Quilters, a talented group of women who collaborated each year to create a quilt that was raffled, with proceeds supporting the Old Baldy Lighthouse.
